about us

The mission of the International Business Alliance (IBA) is to develop and support Bulgarian entrepreneurship worldwide. The Alliance aims to promote innovative and creative business thinking and to facilitate a supportive environment for the exchange of successful business models, experiences and good practices among our fellow countrymen across the continents. IBA's global network provides it's members with effective and reliable tools to interact and communicate with each other at any point in the world.

The Founders

The idea to create a global Alliance of Bulgarian entrepreneurship on an international scale belongs to Miroslav Bogdantsaliev and Paola Minekov. They themselves are an example of an efficient alliance of two Bulgarians who have succeeded internationally - Miroslav as the owner of some very prosperous businesses and Paola as an Artist with an exclusive artistic career. Miroslav Bogdantsaliev has a Master's degree in Mathematics, and further specialised in Management and Information Technologies, at the Southwest University "Neofit Rilski" in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. He moved to the United Kingdom in 2000, where he has lived and worked ever since. During his first few years in the UK he worked independently on various building projects. He started his first company - Avalon Build - with a very limited initial capital in 2005. Since then, the company has grown at a fast pace, and today works on large-scale projects in the construction sector. Avalon Build has received several prestigious awards, including: ‘Top 50 Construction Companies in South-East England’ of BUILD Magazine, ‘Defining The World 2016’ and ‘Best of interiors for 2016’.

The business founded by Miroslav Bogdantsaliev has an impeccable reputation for reliability, integrity and quality of service, and is one of the best known and sought-after construction companies in London and South-East England.

In recent years, Miroslav Bogdantsaliev has launched several new business projects in the fields of construction, real estate and investments. Most of them boast a seven digit turnover and continue to develop at a fast pace.

The Idea

IBA was born after many of Miroslav Bogdantsaliev's Bulgarian business contacts showed a keen interest in the opportunity to sell their products and services in the UK. Miroslav found that these companies often had a poor understanding of the peculiarities of local regulations, norms and markets. This process led to the understanding that there is a need for a platform that will connect like-minded entrepreneurs sharing the same language and culture, who also have the advantage of in-depth knowledge of the local markets specifics. A combination that has an extraordinary prospect of successful development.

Paola Minekov also shares the idea that a new network which connects Bulgarian business owners around the world can facilitate the fast growth of its members. Paola is convinced of the strength, opportunities, benefits and performance of a "well-structured, motivating and efficient professional network", as she defines the Alliance. This is a position Paola has built over the years, living and working in different countries and actively taking part in social and business communities. She believes her ability to connect with quality contacts has played a major role in building her successful career.

Miroslav Bogdantesaliev and Paola Minekov created IBA, believing that this is the modern and intelligent way for Bulgarian entrepreneurs all over the world to meet, communicate, present themselves and their work, share their talents, achievements, ideas and projects and find new opportunities on a global scale.
